IFG1 DES, which is a growth factor similar to insulin, is a variant form of somatomedin C. It contains amino acids similar to those in the insulin peptide hormones family, and the proteins are similar in structure to original insulin. The molecular mass is 7371.4. Recently, this research compound has been isolated and then recreated in various studies and clinical trials with other polypeptide forms in the insulin family. In vitro clinical studies, however, have shown that this specific compound is stronger than the original in the way of hypertrophic stimulation and the proliferation of cells. Some in the research community even claim that it is the strongest variant of the IGF form. One hypothesis is that the compound has an effect on neuronal structures and how they function during their life. The idea is that it can support and protect neuronal functions and possibly even neuronal growth.
